DBAs discover the Wii

During my first rotation I got to work with the DBAs responsible for maintaining the back-end databases of many critical, high traffic, and query intensive applications. After a long day of optimizing SQL and experimenting with leading edge Oracle software, finding time to unwind is critical.

Luckily, the DBAs know how to play as hard as they work and we were able to organize a Wii bowling and baseball tournament at the prestigious Edison country club in Schenectady, NY. Watching techies get their Wii on and utterly destroy me at baseball was definitely an entertaining experience
