GE Sponsors Teen's Trek For the Most Challenging Foursquare Badge Ever at North Pole

Parker Liautaud trekked to the North Pole, sponsored by GE, to raise environmental awarenessParker Liautaud, age 15, became the one youngest explorers to ever ski to the North Pole.  His journey was sponsored in part by GE to help raise awareness about environmental destruction.

Liautaud's most recent Facebook post insists that "one person can make a difference, and that person is you" and says to the page's 1,000+ followers to "make a short YouTube video right now describing how you're reducing your carbon footprint."

Upon reaching the top, Parker checked in on Foursquare and received the Last Degree badge.

GE's Ecomagination initiative encourages global action to solve environmental challenges.
